Olinger Architects is committed to designing projects that  unlock the civic potential of each site.   Our work covers a broad range of scales, and consistently seeks to integrate environmentally conscious design with contextually responsive form.

At Olinger Architects we believe that our collective imagination has the power to change the world for the better.  Our work is highly collaborative and utilizes Building Information Modeling to coordinate design across disciplines at all stages of design.  We present an immersive design experience for our clients that we believe provides a deeper and more productive design conversation.

Our studio is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and thrives within Boston's bustling creative community.  Our network of technical experts provide a broad base of support for projects of nearly any type or description.  Each project team is custom tailored to the client’s needs, with good service making for great design.

Jeffrey Olinger AIA

AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Jeffrey Olinger, AIA, is the founding principal of Olinger Architects (OA), where he leads design and firm operations across architecture, preservation, and applied research. A LEED Accredited Professional, Registered Architect in Massachusetts, and nominee for Fellowship in the American Institute of Architects (FAIA).

Prior to founding OA, Mr. Olinger worked internationally on complex infrastructure and logistics projects in Iraq and Afghanistan, experience that sharpened his approach to coordination, systems thinking, and execution at scale. He later joined the award‑winning firm William Rawn Associates, where he contributed to major institutional projects for clients including Harvard Business School and the Boston Public Library.

In 2016, Mr. Olinger was named a national AIA Emerging Professional and selected as a presenter at the United Nations Habitat III Conference in Quito, Ecuador. His work has since earned multiple awards and patents for innovations in design and architectural preservation. He currently serves as Co‑Chair of the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization, advises the Harvard Innovation Lab and the MIT Arts Startup Incubator, and has taught architecture and design at Harvard University, Tufts University, and the American University in Dubai. Mr. Olinger holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Architecture with Distinction from Harvard University.
