About HREAO Boston

The Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization (HREAO) – Boston Chapter is the Boston-area regional chapter of the only official Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) Real Estate Special Interest Group of Harvard University. Established as part of HREAO’s global network founded in 2009, the Boston Chapter is a non-profit, member-driven organization comprised of Harvard alumni, local chapter leadership, and engaged members who share a common passion for real estate across disciplines including design, development, construction, public policy, finance, capital markets, and investment.

The Boston Chapter serves Harvard alumni living, working, or maintaining professional ties to Greater Boston and New England, fostering connection within one of the world’s most active and influential real estate ecosystems. Through locally focused programming, events, and partnerships, the chapter supports the personal and professional development of its members while strengthening ties among alumni, the University, and the broader real estate community.

Operating in close coordination with HREAO national leadership, the Harvard Alumni Association, Harvard Clubs, on-campus student organizations, and other regional chapters, the Boston Chapter advances shared goals through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and community building. The chapter also serves as a bridge between students, emerging professionals, and seasoned practitioners across Harvard’s schools and affiliated networks.

Members of the Boston Chapter are encouraged to build dynamic profiles, share expertise, explore career and investment opportunities, and, most importantly, connect with fellow alumni through curated local events, panel discussions, site visits, and academic-professional exchanges hosted throughout the Boston region.
